A little about my (Jim Ross) flying experience

Dragonfly Engine
This is a picture of the Radne
engine now with its new high
compression head and 4:1
re-drive.
When did it all began?
I started free flying paragliders in 1995 while living
in Norway. I took lessons from the Oslo
Paragliding Klubb. There are mountains in Norway
to fly from and could fly both in the summer and
winter. This is a sport that I can fall in love with.
The Mountain Top Norway
The picture to the right is the take off point on top of
a mountain in Norway. Ronny one of our instructors
is keeping careful watch over those getting ready to
fly. I will never forget these days on the mountain.
Return to the USA in 1996 and the flat lands.
Free Flying In New Mexico
I made several trips to Albuquerque to
free fly off mountains in New Mexico
several times. Had to work and could
not make the 600 mile trip very often.
The group was very good to fly with.
Below is a picture of one of the New
Mexico flyers.
PPGKAYCOK - Home of the Dragonfly Paramotor (Homebuilt) and Dragon Sandbuggies
Upon return to the flat lands of Oklahoma tried to
find a hill or something to fly from. Not much luck.
So I built a tow winch. It worked okay but could only
lift off and glide short distance and land.
